We continuously and systematically improve the quality of each course. The involvement of students, field professionals and alumni is crucial here. Social Educational Care Work is a new Programme and had an Initial Accreditation in 2020 conducted by NVAO. U can find the report here (in Dutch). In 2025-2026 the programme will have an accreditation by the NVAO. Recent graduates of the Social Educational Care Work programme have stated that they were satisfied with the quality of the training they received. Student aan het woord Ik startte de opleiding eigenlijk enkel om het juiste diploma te behalen. Aangezien ik al in de sector werk, dacht ik niet al te veel bij te zullen leren. Maar ik kon niet meer mis zijn! Al in het eerste semester kreeg ik meer kennis en inzicht, niet enkel theoretisch maar ook over mezelf en hoe ik functioneer als orthopedagogisch begeleider. Ik ben er 100% van overtuigd dat deze opleiding mij een meer zelfzekere opvoeder-begeleider zal maken.Ik zou liegen moest ik zeggen dat het altijd gemakkelijk is om alle ballen (studies, gezin, werk, sociaal leven...) in de lucht te houden. Het evenwicht is bij mij soms helemaal zoek, maar ook hier helpt Howest door het aanbieden van oa. een webinar timemanagement voor werkstudenten. Ik raad de opleiding absoluut aan! Joke Degrande
